Oils for the Fall and Winter Cold Seasons
Lemon
This is an all year must have, but I have to add it here because it is just awesome! I put a drop in each of our water bottles daily to keep our water fresh and to chelate any chemicals that get past the purifier, but also to give an immune boost. Lemon, and all citrus oils aren't true essential oils, because instead of being steam distilled, they are cold-pressed from the rind of the fruit. This is where much of the fruits benefits are found, and the oil is such an easy and tasty way to get them. I also LOVE it as a cough syrup for my kids who don't like the strong taste of the Thieves. I put a drop of lemon in a teaspoon if honey. It works better than anything else I've found. There are a ton of other uses, which many of them are listed in the 101 Uses for the Essential Seven Kit, which can be downloaded off this site. One thing to remember is that citrus oils make the skin photosensitive. This means that skin that has these oils on it are more prone to burning in the direct sunlight. Make sure you use it on skin that won't be exposed for about 12 hours.
