Oils for the Fall and Winter Cold Seasons
Purification
Here's just one more that is really a year rounder, but I diffuse regularly once the windows must be closed all the time. Purification is a blend of citronella, lemongrass, lavandin (hybrid lavender that is a stronger antiseptic than lavender), rosemary, tea tree, and myrtle. The desk reference puts it best. "Cleanses and disinfects the air and neutralizes mildew, cigarette smoke, and disagreeable odors. Disinfects and cleanses cuts, scrapes and bites/stings from spiders, bees, hornets and wasps."
I drop a few drops on the filter or bag of my vacuum to keep stinky vacuum smell away. Diffusing Purification puts negative ions in the air which neutralize all sorts of airborne pathogens. I use it to repel ticks and mosquitoes when we walk in the woods. It's great for clearing up pimples too!
Of course I could go on. I really can't live without lavender or peppermint, or Peace and Calming, or Joy, and the list goes on, but the ones listed above are my go-to oils for the colds and flu season. So there you have it. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. It is my joy to support you in discovering the benefits of essential oils!
